Is Playse Cares a standalone nonprofit?

No. Playse Cares is a scholarship initiative administered by Miami Beach Youth Sports Foundation, a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charity.

Are donations tax deductible?

Yes. Donations are processed through Miami Beach Youth Sports Foundation and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

How are scholarship recipients selected?

Applications are reviewed based on:

• Financial need
• Program alignment
• Available funding
• Compliance with nonprofit guidelines

All awards are discretionary and subject to approval by the managing foundation.

Are scholarships guaranteed?

No. Scholarships depend on available funds and application review. Submission of an application does not guarantee an award.

Can scholarships be awarded internationally?

Yes. Playse Cares may support international programs provided they meet nonprofit compliance standards and align with the fund’s mission.

How are funds distributed?

When possible, scholarship funds may be paid directly to the program, league, or organization providing services.

This ensures transparency and responsible stewardship.

Is there an administrative fee?

A portion of funds may be allocated toward administrative and compliance costs necessary to properly manage, review, and distribute scholarships in accordance with IRS and nonprofit standards.

Can individuals control how funds are awarded?

No. All funds are managed in accordance with nonprofit governance requirements. Scholarship decisions must remain independent and compliant with 501(c)(3) regulations.

How often can someone apply?

Applicants may reapply in future cycles, subject to available funding and eligibility criteria.
